THE PERSON BEHIND THE CAMERA
I’m Kelly.
The animals brought me here.

A life shaped
by their stories.
I’m an Australian animal storyteller, photographer, digital creator and advocate. For more than 15 years, I’ve used photography, video and social media to help people see animals as individuals.
My work began with documenting racehorse injuries for the Coalition for the Protection of Racehorses, and conditions inside factory farms across Australia. I saw what animals endure when their lives are treated as commodities.
I also came to know what happens when they’re given safety, freedom and the space to simply be themselves.
That journey continues to shape everything I create.

FROM DOCUMENTING SUFFERING
TO CAPTURING FREEDOM
Different chapters,
same purpose.
Witnessing
Documenting racehorse injuries and conditions inside Australian factory farms, making visible lives so often kept out of sight.
Sanctuary
Co-founding Freedom Hill Sanctuary, then spending over six years at Edgar’s Mission Farm Sanctuary, getting to know animals living in safety and freedom and sharing their stories.
Life together
Today, I share my life with my rescued sheep, dogs, cats and chickens. Their incredible personalities, relationships and beautiful lives are a constant reminder of why I do this work.
